Don’t get it twisted; the 31-year-old mother of three has never resented Taylor. Don’t get it twisted; the 31-year-old mother of three has never resented Traylor. Back in the early days, Kylie hit back at “tabloid nonsense” and headlines that sought to pit her against Swift and other WAGs, emphasizing that her discomfort with attention was not a dig against the 34-year-old pop star. Since then Kylie has liked pro-Swiftie sentiments on social media and eventually spent time with Swift in the Chiefs suites, having previously declared herself a “stands girl.”
Even so, Kylie has largely remained tight-lipped about her brother-in-law’’s love life, simply telling Glamour that she’s happy about Swift’s effect on football. “To see that other young girls are getting involved and that they want to sit down and cheer with their dads or they’re finding their own reason to be interested, it’s only something that can be painted in a positive and exciting light,” she said while promoting Dove’s Body Confident Sports initiative in late January. “It’s just another way to encourage girls to appreciate sport.”
Four months later she’s become much more comfortable with her newfound fame, though she still agrees she’s not a “spotlight person,” as Today host Savannah Guthrie put it during a new interview. “It’s interesting. I am trying to take it in stride and just make sure that as people are talking about me, it’s about important things,” she told Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. “The Eagles [Autism] Foundation is the perfect example.”
